Young Adult Carers (YACs) are young people aged 16-25 who care, unpaid, for a family member or friend, every day or most days, with an illness or disability, mental health condition or an addiction. 

They may be looking at moving out of home, going into higher education or juggling working lives with continuing to be a carer, this means that their needs may sometimes be different to those of other carers.
