Donate in lieu of Christmas Cards 2024

This year, instead of sending Christmas Cards, please consider making a donation to Blackpool Carers.

Our services continue throughout the festive period, as many carers and their families find this time of year difficult as routines change and increased financial pressure causes additional anxiety and stress. Some of our carers may also feel particularly isolated and unable to join in with wider celebrations in the community or with family or friends.

Your kind Donation in lieu of Christmas cards will help us to provide additional support and respite to create a little bit of hope and Christmas ‘Magic’ for our carers this year, and contributions, big or small, will make a difference and are greatly appreciated.

Making a donation is simple, stress-free, much kinder to the environment and quick, leaving you all that extra time to enjoy the festivities with your family and friends.

Did you know, the average person can spend up to £78 on cards and stamps…and don’t forget the time it takes to write them all!

That same amount would pay for:

  • 2 x adult carers to attend a 4-week Dementia Awareness Course, or
  • 15 x Christmas treats for our young carers, or
  • 7 x carers’ Cookery Sessions

A Christmas card might be disposable but a carer’s responsibilities are not. Please donate today!

How do I donate?

Simply click the donate button below or visit https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/christmascarddonation to be taken to our JustGiving campaign page, then choose the amount you wish to donate. Please tick the gift aid box, if you are eligible, to enable us to claim an extra 25% from the tax man!

What happens next?

Once you’ve made your donation you can download a specially created, festive e-card to send to family and friends by email, or to post on social media to let others know you have donated to Blackpool Carers.

Thank you, and have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!

The event is finished.
