If you’re feeling lonely, isolated, anxious and frustrated, our Counselling service may be for you. Carers registered with us, can access this service free of charge.

Dementia awareness training is available for people caring for someone with dementia, whether diagnosed or not. Support is available onsite for the person you care for, to enable you to attend.

Our Family Focus Project works with families where a parent or carer has substance (drug or alcohol) misuse issues or mental ill health. Our team offer intensive support to all members of the household.

Our support workers, based at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, offer support as soon as your loved one is admitted through to the time they are discharged, and help you through this process.

Our Young Carers’, Adult Carers’ and Family Focus teams provide appropriate support for each carer based on their level of need, following an informal assessment by our staff.

Our Time Out team provides regular age-appropriate activities, groups and trips to give carers a well-deserved break.

We hold a range of support groups and drop-ins for all age groups at Beaverbrooks House, including dementia, cancer and mental health.

A wide variety of training courses for carers, volunteers and the local community, are held at Beaverbrooks House, including Managing Challenging Behaviour (MCB), First Aid, Health and Wellbeing and Mental Health.

We have a project dedicated to working with young adult carers (YACs) aged 14 to 25. This project is also licensed to run the Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Programme.
